I'm not as familiar with the used market as i used to be but i do know that you could get more than that. I'd use ebay, watch where the bids go on a couple different auctions. I've seen 250exs that are old, and beat to death go for 1500 and clean examples that are '03s or '04s go for not much more. it tends to vary from auction, but it's still a good basis.
In my own experiences of selling bikes, stay out of the classified section of the forums , stick to places like ebay, or putting an ad in the paper.

It goes high prices on eBay and locally. But I have yet to see a 250ex over for 2200 on these forums.

You can easly get 3k, new at a dealership they are 3.6k. So id say ask 3.3 for it.

Being that it's an '06 you can get a bit more out of it than you normally would (assuming it looks brand new with no visible damage). $2500+
