I was just wondering who's competed in an ATV Rodeo? I bought my 400ex last wendsday night and was in my first compitition* Saturday night. There was barrel racing, pole bending, and a flag grab. In the barrel racing I got a time of 23.56 seconds. The first placed guy got a 19.83. He was on a 450R with plus 3 a-arm, itp holeshots, and a bunch of motor mods. I didnt think I did too bad with stock tires, and just a white brosthers pipe and filter. I know it wasnt racing but I kinda wana start racing, Saturday were headed to a MX track and I'm going to see how the old 400 does.

I have heard of it, but never done one, where in the midwest are you at?

i did one in 1984 on a brand spankin' new 1985 atc 125m...the very first magic button honda made. i did the barrel races and took first place. i also did a race where you haad to run to your bike and start it and thn turn it around and drag to where you started running from. i took 2nd. the winner was another e-start 125. he was few years older and could run a little faster.

This took place in Fort Scott, KS last saturday night. I think it was their fair. I was alot of fun. It took some technical skill not just flat out speed. It was in a rodeo arena.

Do you ever get down to the Joplin area to ride? I'm lookin for some people to ride with down here.

I have been wanting to do that, since I have been to horse shows, watching my girlfriend do it on her horse. I didnt think that they already had them as competitions though...Well, I guess that it is time to get Kentucky up to speed then!!! with the mid-west.

I have never made it to Joplin to ride, but I am always looking for new places to try out.

Do you ride track or trails?

Posted by: tbrown86

both, i'd rather ride trails, i think in the near future a group of us are going to chadwick, near springfield. if you'd like to go hit me up

Yikes......

I don't think my current bike would make it through Chadwick in 1 piece.....I have less than 8" of clearance and no skid plates......

I will hit you up when I get a chance to ride.
