50 TOPS with perfect traction on pavement and a very light rider. they are great bikes, just not speed machines. a 250ex will never reach 56 mph.

I have a stock 2002 250Ex, at 2700 ft. elevation a handheld GPS receiver indicated 52 MPH. At the time my weight was 230#.

52 sounds about right with stock tires on.

i used to have a trail tech speedometer and the highest i got was 50.7 mph.

My friends topped out at 97 MPH and still going. He was in back of his truck too if that counts
