Is anyone running or heard "the Q" FMF Silencer?? I'm thinking about buying one just for riding around the house. Is it pretty quiet?

Our highly acclaimed "Q" series silencers shook the motorcycling world on its debut in 2002. With its longer oval canister, the trademarked Q uses internal technology that retains optimum flow characteristics while enhancing sound absorbtion qualities. The U.S. Forest legal spark arrestor will meet the mandated 96dB sound level set by the US Forest Service making it the quietest 2-stroke performance spark arrestor made! Serious sound deadening qualities and excellent power.

How would it compare to the noise levels of my trx-6?

i used to rase with a guy runnin one of those and i would not hear him when he was behind me, i would think its alot quieter than your trx6.

Would it be ok to run it with my 330 PV??

They do quiet down the quad a bit, but they also restrict power. They are also really long, so if you stand the quad up on end make sure you put a 2x4 or something under the grab bar to keep the silencer from grinding into the ground.

If you are riding near residential areas or on public land, then do us all a favor and get the Q. Only a stock silencer is quieter. However, the stock silencer weighs double, and cuts the power down significantly. The Q does neither of those, but as previously posted-- it is way longer than other silencers-- you might want to get an extended grab bar if you spend any time on the rear 2 wheels.

Yes. It will fit. I have successfully mounted a Q to: trx-5, paul turner, LRD-B, and FMF-- all no problem.
