when i ride my 300ex for like 20 mins.. and it gets hot anything past half throtle it sounds like the rev limiter kicks on

its a 1994 just got the top end done... and no the choke isnt on

would a new cdi box do it or something else

well, im pretty sure that its going to be electrical. Try a new CDI.

But I have also heard that if you cross the wires on the right crank case cover, it will do that. See what it does in reverse, if there is no limit, you got them back wards...
