Do i have to get the resistor kit for my 05? Or is it just for the 04's thanks

You don't "have" to get the resistor kit for either.... Some 04's ran fine with the lights off, some don't. But i think that is true for the 05's too. I have a buddy with both an 05 and an 06 and he had battery trouble on his 05 till he installed the resistor kit.

I guess if you are planning to take the lights off and you don't want to have to worry about any possible electrical issues then maybe it is a small price to pay for peace of mind.
