i would like to drive one, i like the powersteering idea

i think that the power steering is stupid, if you cant turn the bars, then you should not be riding it, and that storage countaner on the fender is a tital knock off of the king quad, and it looks pretty ugly also.

Have you ever tried a Grizzly with larger tires and the 4x4 diff lock on ??
Chances are you haven't , cuz if you would have , you'd know that they are nearly impossible to turn/steer with . It has been a big complaint among Grizzly owners , and Yamaha took note . They stepped up and designed a unit that is user friendly for EVERYONE to use . I think it'll be a major selling point of the machine . Husband and wives out shopping will most likely buy this unit over another because of the power steering feature . It's no fun when you're out riding with someone and you have to stop every 15 minutes cause they just can't hold on anymore due to their arms being numb .

how often do you ride around in 4 wheel with the diff lock on? I have never used mine more than a total of 50 yds. in all the time I have had both of my 4 x 4's. If you run good tires there is no need to ride around in diff. lock unless you are Mike Walker. I don't know of anyone just trail riding whose arms have got too tired from 4wd. I think it is just something else to break and cost us alot of money to fix. I could be wrong, i have been a few times before.

i have riden my king quad with the diff lock on and with my 27" on it is not really that hard to turn, an dlike some one else said you hardly drive with the diff lock on. and wtf do you mean guy anout the steering stabilzer?

the idea of being more "user freindly" may not be a good one, now it will be easeir for less experienced people to jump on that quad and get hurt for lack of respect of what a machine of that size is capable of, bad idea in my book

Then again , is it safer to put someone that's unexperienced on an old Grizzly with the diff lock and have them not be able to steer??
I think having the ability to have better steering control is far less dangerous than having hardly any steering at all .

I really like this quad and what it offers. If I get a farm quad this is the one I would get. Call me lazy but I like the idea of working less & being more comfortable. To me it = more seat time. Plus I like the idea my wife can ride it easily which is only going to benefit me in the end (more fun she has is the more fun I'll have - if u have a wife you get what I'm sayin
). If I want a balz out ride I still have the R.

For those that dont have issues with the way todays UTE's steer, consider the fact you ride more then likely at spud speed. When you hammer these thing racing, it is a bit different then idleing around pops back 20.

How is that even a comparison.
Having trouble turning the bars, cruising down trails....is completely different from having trouble keeping the bars from being jerked out of your hands while hitting a square edge at race pace..............
I also agree that its just something else to be fixed/maintained

so y not have power steering

Y not have power steering? When your stuck in a huge muck hole and your trying to get out it helps you turn the wheels. You don't really notice it kick in. Also if the unit fails you can still use it as normal. It also acts like a steering stabilizer. they say in the tests that the bars don't get jerked out of your hands as easy.

Honda has also been working on a power type steering system and I beleave Yamaha just wanted to beat them to the punch and be the first one out! Im told this system is like a steering
stabilizer but even better!!
(I hope to ride one on a long term test someone is doing in the next month or so?) Im sure this is sign of things to come and in my opinion where the race with some seems to be simply adding a bigger engine, I like that Honda and Yamaha are focusing on Handling first.

I was watching atvtv last night with Doug Meyer you know the guy that God Blesses everyone. Well he was on a new Grizzly and said he likes the power steering alot you don't fell tried at the end of the day. He also likes the new wider seat with deeper padding. The power steering lessens the faster you go, He did go on a lot more on what changes were made. If your interested the show will aire again on Friday at 9:30 or 10:00 A.M. (e.s.t.) Now i'm thinking of going to my dealer for a long talk about it.

IMO, the biggest plus of the 700 Grizzly is the gas tank mounted under the seat! Get's the weight way down low, to handle better!

I just got one a few days ago. You might have read my post where my daughter let a friend ride my kodiak while I was gone. She totaled it out and got a free Helicopter ride to see a plastic sergeon. All is well now and the dealer took the wreaked kodiak and the insurance check and I went home with a new Camo Grizzly 700! This is one awesome quad!! I could have got the polaris, Kawaskia,or a honda but nothing looks or handles like this quad. The power steering is unbelivable. You got to try it out.
