my friends 03 tld predator blew up.

the con rod went right threw the piston.

im pretty sure the top end is toast but i think the bottom might be good.

do you think it is worth re building as a bigger engine, like a 550 or somthing. he needs a new con rod, piston cylinder head (i think), im gussing he would need a new thing were the valves would go, and get an aftermarket cam.

anybody know exactly whart would be needed and if it is cost effecticive. he already put another used 500 in it. so he'll run that until the new engine is running.

thanks

call/email Doug at www.nicholascycle.com

he'll get your friend straightened away

HPD has 558 kit for a resonable price. However, Nicholas cycle seems to build about the best motors going from what I've heard, but they look kind of expensive. www.hpd-inc.com

yeah, all the products/services that Nicholascycle provides are pretty expensive, but at least you know you are paying for the best quality items possible. plus, Doug knows the Predator engine very very well.
