i have some engine mods and i wanna run a cooler plug. the stock plug is a br8es. what plug would run cooler?

stock plug in a 300ex is a DR8ES-L.

yep, I just checked on RMATV, all year 300ex's use the above sparkplug. I hope you havent been using that plug. Thats the one I used to run in my pred 90.

i compared the two, they look exactly the same. hmm... could the br8es possibaly make it detonate a little?

even if they look the same, they dont create the same spart. And yes it could make it detonate because they are made for a difffent motor.

that'd be a good idea. Your jetting is also going to be off, now that you are switching plugs. It might not change, but there is a possiblilty that it will.
