Hi there,

i had to change my airfilter, then i bought a K&N Airfilter for my stock 250R (HA-4250). My airbox is in stock condition, do i have to change the mainjet or change the carb settings, or is that ok without any changing the carb settings.

as long as you keep the lid on and are still using the snorkel you should be o.k. to just put it on and go... it will make it run a bit leaner though, just watch and listen to it extra carefull for a while.

Thanks for your help,

everything on my 250R is stock, so i use the lid and the snorkel. If the engine runs to lean, make it sense to put the jet needle a little bit higher?

probably be easier to just go one bigger main jet actually, maybe adjust the air screw a tad. or you could move the needle one clip.

man, if youre all stock and running some good oil at like 32:1, you dont have a thing to worry about... that thing will run forever...
