Another happy SG-10 user here. These are the most comfortable, best engineered boot I have ever owned and even tried on. I tried some Tech 10s back when I thought Alpinestars were the bomb and felt like Neil Armstrong walking the moon in them. Needless to say, they were back in the box and exchanged for the SG-10s and I couldn't be happier.

^^^That settles it. When I can afford boots, it'll definitely be SG-10's. I have yet to read about anyone trying an SG-10 and going back to Alpinestar.

yah i would be lying if i had said i had used other boots... my good riding buddy who has been riding forever and tried all kinds told me that the tech 8s were the best and i got those, and i really like them... i feel naked riding without them now...

i have another buddy that has the alpine vectors and he likes those as well... who knows- there are probably several quality boots out there... and its hard to tell cuz you gotta break them in and get used to 'em- and you can't do that trying them on at the store... i really like the inner boot in the tech 8s

You definitely won't be disappointed. Gaerne call themselves the "boot company" because that's ALL the make. They've been cranking out MX boots for a LONG time too, something like 40 years. I have a VHS video that the editors of Dirt Bike and Dirt Wheels created about ATVs vs. MX bikes in 1987, called "The Video", hahaha. On the cover, there's a guy on a Tecate 250 wearing matching green Gaerne boots...back when everyone wore exact matching colored gear to the bike (soon after the pink phase wore off).

Anyway, they aren't as big of a company as Alpinestars, and don't have the financial strength to sponsor half the pro riders out there, but they sure make a damn good product. What makes owning the SG-10 even better are the rave reviews that almost every popular MX magazine has given them... Gaerne News

i just broke down and bought the Thor Quadrants i luv them. hard to break though this is my first time with moto X boots so i dont know what to expect but there good so far ive had them for about a month.
