well i am new to the suspension world, i just bought a set of triple rate elkas from a member on this board and should be getting them next week, but now i am left with the stock rear shock that is 20 years old...what shock would work the best with the elka fronts? do epople run a combination or axis, elka, and pep and/or ohlins?? if anyone has a good rear shock please let me know...and another question, what is with the no- link rear suspension?? any info would be great! thanks!

its best to keep all the shocks the same but unless yur a serious racer its not mandatory. just dont mix ZPS and non-ZPS shocks and you will be fine. the rear shock isnt terrible either, you can have it rebuilt and resprung for yur weight. other wise grab the next good deal you find on any aftermarket rear shock...
no-link makes the shock mount from the frame directly to the swinger. requires a diferent swinger and sometimes a frame mod, gives better ride and more direct feal.

ok thats what i thought about the no link vs link...would a stock shock adjusted for my weight work any good or is it just better to get a works shock or somethign and what does ZPS stand for??

I might be wrong but I think it stands for Zero Preload Suspension
