My piston seized a little while ago and i recently split the cases to replace a couple of things. There are light scratches and scrapes where the crank sits in the circular part of the case. This was due to chunks of the piston coming down, falling below the crank. Will this be ok what should i do?
I was going to replace:
OEM crank
OEM Main bearings
My plan was to replace the counter shaft gears with yukon gears or just cryo the stockers depending on the condition. But now as im looking at them they show no signs of wear from what i can tell. Later on down the road will the stock gears by themselves hold up with a 350 cyl? Is there anything else i should be looking to replace?
Are the main bearings pressed in?
If i were to have the cases machined to accept a 350 cyl do i need to have that done when they are split or whole?
Any info helps thanks
