Posted by: Eddie

pearl is off pearl road, the dumps is better though. I cant go riding yet, cause going to look at a 400EX today at pentons, hopefully ill get one... :devil

Posted by: UglyMotha™

be sure to get a new one cause the used ones they have out front they want way to much freaking money for and don't seem to want to come down from what i hear specially considering you can go on the showroom and buy a new one for 800 more plus the used ones that i saw up ther last week looked like they had the shi* beat out of them and they only had one yellow new 400ex up there i dunno if there bringin in anymore cause there trying to get rid of most of there crap before they move to there new building which isn't even close to being done

Posted by: Eddie

Would you go to Penton Or that place in cleveland or the harly shop in elyria? :square

Posted by: UglyMotha™

i would go to penton's if i was you definantly not the harley shop in ely unless you plan on getting a harley if you get my drift, i often get my parts from there but they have like one fourwheeler on there showroom (foreman) maybe two d/bikes, i got mine at pentons was able to get them down to 5200 on mine back in november, i really don't know what there goin for now i dunno about the place in cleveland you get also check out what use to be jerry ferrels i can't rember what it's called now but it's that joint out in medina on rt18

Posted by: Eddie

I went with Pentons. Got a new 02' 400ex for about $5,000 out the door. Should be here within the week hopefully.

Race girl stated you like drag racing, go to Dragway 42 much? I see a falcon there alot. :devil

Posted by: UglyMotha™

Posted by: Eddie

Posted by: Kadafiy

Sorry to awake an old post but i was searching and saw you guys talking about a riding spot on pearl road where is that? I'm right outside of Cleveland. Thanks

Posted by: UglyMotha™

east side, west side or south side of cleveland i can't get directions to the riding place on pearl road but you'll have to wait until like wed. but there is a way better riding hole on colorado ave. in lorain

Posted by: dnhracing

directions to elson street from cleveland area
I-77 south to rt 30 east to rt 43 south look for elson street on the right. its a small gravel road about 15 minutes down rt43. its all trails wooded hilly trails no open areas for jumps and wheelies.

bearcreek directions take 77 south to Fohl rd left on Fohl till it ends (1 mile) turn right follw signs to bearcreek. its easy to find, both places are south of canton.
bearcreeck has trails jumps hills and a small circle track. both places cost like 12 dollars to ride on the weekends.

Posted by: Kadafiy

I live South of Cleveland, around the Strongsville area. What city is Pearl in? (the riding place not the street) Where in Lorain is that other place? Another good place to ride is the Rumble on the Ridge in Adena, Ohio, but those are done for the year.

Posted by: Quadfather

Elson St has two huge fields for drag racing, and riding wheelies.

One of the fields even has a nice, but small double jump on it.

You just have to know how to get there. There is even a very nice MX track there.

Posted by: dnhracing

is the mx track part of elson street

Posted by: Quadfather

I believe the track is Battlesburg MX track. You have to do about a 1 mile road ride to access it.

Posted by: Eddie

Pearl is an open site near a set of traintracks ,theres a few open spots, some hills, but have to watch out for glass back there, the dumps off colorado near margies magpie are better. i have made up a picture of were pearl is since alot of people asked, but the dumps are 3X better imo.

Posted by: codeman1498

do any of you guys ever ride out at baumhardt

Posted by: UglyMotha™

i do, duh

Posted by: codeman1498

do you really we should meet up out there sometime

Posted by: crashinmatt

i used to ride at baumhart, but the last time we went, some foreign guy was sittin in his car and claimed he owned the whole place and no one was allowed to ride there. i looked into it and i know for a fact that he doesnt own it. but havent been back since, mainly cuz everyone i used to go riding with decided to give it up. so i decided to get into racing, and thats all i really do anymore.

Posted by: mesz1

We have tons of riding close to the shop, MeszMoto is about 1 hour from hopkins between exit 13A and 14 on the pike. Let me know and we can set up a ride.

soon as i get my ride back together we'll hook up and i'll take you out there

Posted by: crashinmatt

its right off rt 2 in amherst. take route 2 to baumhart rd and go north to the train overpass(like 1/4 or something). and look to the left and ull see the trails. just gotta find a place to park.

Posted by: Cowboy400

Im not sure of the real name of the track by elson street. Everyone I know just calls it Malvern. I know there is the MX track, elson street, and another track I believe within a couple of miles of each other.

Posted by: Quadfather

I believe that is Battlesburg MX

Ohio mafia:devil

Posted by: motox36

In the last reply I heard you guys say something about a MX track on Elson St. How nice of a track is it, is it like a real MX layout doubles, tabletops, etc... or is it more like a back yard play track? I'm from Castalia, Oh right by sandusky so it'd be about a 1 hour drive. Would it be worth going up there to ride my 400 or my 250f? What does it cost? Let me know if you could. Thanks

Posted by: hindelk

motox36 have you ever been to hangtime, that is in norwalk where i live its a nice track, it is a nice track to practice on

Hey Dont forget about me.. I am a part time patron of the group, Jeff will vouch for me.. :devil

Posted by: hindelk

which one are you the other jeff?

well whats your name and i will remeber

Posted by: motox36

Yea I ride the Hangtime track every Wednesday and Saturday that I can. However, the last couple times I went to practice at the end of the 02 season the track was closed. I called the number but no one ever picked up, what's up with that? Anyway, did they change the track yet this year? I hope they dont' take out that sweet 90ft tabletop to tabletop double. About that track on Elson St. When can you start practicing this year? is there a set schedule? Thanks

Posted by: hindelk

moto what kind of quad do you have and where do you live

Posted by: motox36

I have a 99 400ex w/some mods. But I am selling it, I've never raced it. I've been racing bikes for 7 years. I race a yz250f and I have a 99 yz 125 for sale. I live in Castalia, Ohio about 5 miles south of Sandusky. I've rode Malvern that track, it's decent, not very challenging, and Battlesburg is right down the road from it. I've never rode there before just saw it.

Posted by: 400ex45

about the mx tracks at elson street the one you can ride to but is a pain is battlesburg mx park and the other mx track close buy that i dont think you can ride to is malvern.

Argghh, I hate to bring back such a dead post, but does anyone know if you can still ride at the Lorain Dumps?

I went there a few weekends ago but it looks like it is all closed up now.

I moved into the Avon Lake area a while ago and I am looking for a close place to ride. Thanks!

Posted by: IcutMetl

This post is probably old as dirt, but what's the story on the dumps...are they still open? What about the Baumhart road area? I'm from Sandusky area, and my buddy and I are dying to ride somewhere that isn't first gear woods or a flat field.
