Hey guys whats up. Curious if anyones done this kinda motor swap yet? Can you bolt a CRF 450r motor directly into the TRX 450r frame... Only internal differences right? Physical apperance is the same bolt for bolt, mount for mount? All help is appreciated.

I think it should also.. One reason I'm really curious is because I lost 4th gear in mine. Should I fix it or just swap the motor? The reason I want the CRF motor is because its the same as the 06 motor.. 96mmX62mm, has the better ignition, cam, and carb.

You can basically turn a TRX motor into a CRF motor.

Like I was sayin, I lost 4th gear. . Should I fix it or CRF motor?

Fix it. The mounts arent the same

Foward kick is no biggie. You can kick it back. Trim the fender thats all.

So I guess the actual mount location on the CRF motor aren't located in the same place as the TRX. So I'll fix it. Not sure the problem yet. Just wont find 4th anymore. Shift fork maybe? Maybe the dogs broke? I have to split the trans and find out. Thanks R3Concepts

get the trailtech conversion kit and you won't miss anything. I put it in my 04 and the things hauls.

Whats the trailtech conversion? How much does it run money wise? I have about $1200 right now to fix it.

I think hes talking about the crf ignition conversion. It lets you put a crf flywheel, cdi, and wiring harness in your 04-05 trx.
