almost the same as precision price wise, as for how it feels compaired to the precision, so far everyone i have spoke to says it is way better, guess we will just have to wait and find out

ive rode precision before, i think the high/low speed dampening, and the corner adjustments will make it far better then the precision

once someone has one they need to give us some feedback on it. i think it looks trick

Hey Yurik im not trying to be a jerk but how can you say for sure if it will be better at all? I mean, ive never ran a stabilizer on any of my quads and i handle mine just fine.. If anything it beats u into better shape not having one.. Ive only heard prefect things about the precision stabilizer and im sure if the elka is a little bit better you , me , or 99% of these members on the forum arnt good enough to tell the difference..

ive rode the precision, and it is a great dampener, ive been riding my bike now for 2 years with no dampener, and at this level in the gncc/local series type terrain it is almost required to have the confidence to go fast and not wreck, i dont kno if you do mx or xc, but in xc, rocky creeks, rutted straights, etc, u can go much faster when the bars are held still

as for it being better etc, im not saying physically better, im saying more adjustable, theroedically (sp)a steering dampener can only be so good, its the adjustments that make or break it, having high/low speed, cornering adjustments, etc, make this dampener even better then the precision

and i kno your not trying to be a jerk, everyone has a right to express their opinions, i would like to hear them all, and hope to offer a responce to them that will answer your question, or prove what you have to say is wrong or right

The casing itself looks similar to a Scotts. Sounds like it has the close to the same adjustments as a Scotts also. Maybe a modified design? If I did not already own a Precision, I would probably give one a try.

I had Elka shocks on my bike and hated them. Not to be a basher, but there is no way I would give up my precision for some stabilizer made by Elka that isn't even proven yet.

I'm sure with name like Elka across the front of it, it will have every opportunity to become "proven".

I'm sure the team could of won on a precision dampner or a W.E.R, they probably got paid to run elka, just like everyone else

I thought you had the precision on your bike. I might be thinking of someone else though. Anyways I am not saying this is a bad product by any means but I don't see how it could be way better than the precision. I think what it comes down to is personal preference just like most other things like pipes, shocks, tires ect. Everyone is going to have an opinion on what is best, however it seems like the Elka, Precision, and Scotts stabilizer are all even when performance and quality is concerned.

he says it better because its got more adjustments and in the end thats what a dampner is about, being able to adjust and controll you machine to go faster. and i dont know why everyone slams on elka so much. i have to change the settings on my shock after i get them back from the factory but your supost to do that with every shock because there is no perfect setting for every aplication or for the same track the next weekend.

no, my friend i ride with like every day has a precision on his, ive rode it quite a lot

i never said it was a bad product, dont get me wrong, the precision is great, just not as good as elka's, more adjustability makes all of the difference

and your right, everyone will have an opinion, ive rode scotts and precision tho, so when my elka comes, we will c

Yurik im gonna take your side and get an ELKA dampner but dont go saying its better then a presicion just yet you havent even tryed it yet allthough it is supposed to be better that dosent mean it truely is i look forward to getting mine but i dontknow if i would go as far to say its better when you've yet to try it.

I believe Elka has amazing products and there technology and improvements they make over time are top notch. I also think that this dampner will also be great because its coming from Elka, and they usually dont make a product thats half ***. Im getting one

Posted by: eganracing

i think it looks just like the scotts but has better adjustments. maybe its just a modified scotts.

One thing to look into for sure is how long before a rebuild is necessary and how much the rebuild will cost. I think I've read that the Precision doesn't have all the seals that the other models contain. I don't know squat about the Elka or the Scott though...just something to look into before buying.

All companies can have problems. I had a rear Elka shock on my 2001 Raptor and the main shock body unscrewed from the top cap. Unfortunately it happened as I took off from a jump so I came up short. I got to pay for the full repair of the shock and a rebuild...not to mention the pain and suffering as I severely bruised the arches in both feet. I was hoping Elka would at least cover the repair but they opted not. So far, I have opted not to buy another Elka product. Democracy is great.
