I have a friend who is willing to sell me his complete PVL ignition system brand new in the box for $200.00.

Before I buy it... I was wanting some other opinions on this ignition compared to the 2001 CR250 ignition.

Can anyone compare the two for me and let me know which would be the better choice.

the pvl is great for drag and top end stuff. there is basically no flywheel so its easy to bog the engine... the cr250 setup has a smaller flywheel then the 250r but its still there. both give improved spark, and ignition curves. both make it easier to start big bore motors... you should buy a cr250 setup and sell me the pvl.

So for MX.... you are saying the CR250 ignition would be the better choice?

I havent bought the PVL ignition yet Zedicus.... but if I decide to go with the CR250 ignition Im sure I can get you the PVL ignition if you are really interested.

honestly for mx i would say the cr250 setup, not just cuz i want the pvl setup iether... over stock you would like iether, but i hear the cr250 setup is easier to install, and will lug better then the pvl. talk to neil at c-leigh he has a good setup to do to the cr250 ignition too.
