right now i have a 86 r . im not trying for extra power or anything im just checking on this. i want to keep the 86 rod. can someone splain this to me ! THANKS GUYS!

jugs work on all years, the difference is in the piston and rod. 86 uses short rop with a piston that has 5mm lower pin. some peeple run an 87-89 rod with an 86 piston to get bigger bores on their cylender but doing this means you need a spacer plate.

The TRX jugs are not all the same! The 86 is different than the 87-89

The rod is shorter, I believe.

85- 86 dont hav exhaust bridge, and the porting is a tad different on all years. any jug can be used on any bottom end. like i said the only thing that matters is the rod and piston you use, did anyone even READ my other post???

85-86 don't have an intake bridge, all have an exhaust bridge. You knew that Zed, you were just a little mixed up
