I wonder if it will be centered in the back like on the ltr.

the pipe it factory kawasaki...it it centered up front in between the frame and it blows air straight into the radiator...its supposed to help alot with cooling

the kawasaki is in california as of 6-8-06. the people who have rode it have told us that it is 10-15% faster than everything else out right now. what i forgot to ask is if it is wide or set up for certain type of riding. What I did hear is that everything else will have to step up to compete with this quad. The yamaha is F.I. , no aluminum frame and beside that not much else changed.

heres the only way i could figure out to see the back tires, and from the view you get, it doesnt look like its too wide. deffently not as wide as the LTR450.

Fullbore has there work cut out for them! I dunno but i think the suzuki is ugly and from what i see on the kawi its following suit. Honda and yamaha look great.

The specs haven't even been released yet, I doubt we'll know the MRSP until a month or so before the quad's release.

It's a kawi it wont be 10-15% faster then the honda's or the yamaha's its going to be a step down from both plus it's pretty fugly jmho...

lol, shows how much you know. The kawasaki KX450F is the fastest stock 450 dirtbike out right now.

dont mean to get off topic but these new quads coming out arent lik the new snowmobiles comeing out...with sleds we proly would of saw the hole thing by now but with quad they keep these things under raps real tight..im suprised.becuase normally there a spy pics of the new ones like 6 mounths before there even mentioned....just my 2 cents..

i think the KFX will be 2nd behind the LT-R...the yamaha will be 3rd best and honda last, but all of these quads are great...

you guys are good with photoshop to see the rear tires, i was impressed...it dont look as wide as the LTR thats why i think the LTR will be the best buy out on the market still

the kfx250f is the fastest 250 out till this date

kawasaki is getting better at making better machines, who knows how fast or how it will stand up against the ltr450 , trx450r, and the yfz450

we can only predict as of now

Kawi has always been faster:

tecate 250
kx500
kx450f
kx250f

The only problem is the tecate didn't handle all that well. Hopefully they won't repeat that mistake.

Edit: Oh, and these fake thread starts are getting pretty old and stupid. No one is falling for them, it's just annoying.

ive got a kfx400 and it kicks ***. yes i know suzuki made the engine but lime green is much better. i cant wait til this 450 comes out, i cant even imagine how bad@$$ this thing is gonna be. imo, the order of the 450's wil be kawi, suzuki, yamaha, and sadly honda. im definitely gettin one of these when it comes out. does anyone know when they come out?

I think this new Kawi is gonna kick sum ***. Only cuz it is true that the kawi 450f dirt bikes do rule power wise and just look where Kawasaki is with the rest of their lineup. The zx10 has 178 rwhp followed by suzuki's gixxer 1k with 166 rwhp then r1 with 164 then the cbr 1k with 158. That is hell of a difference in hp. The time they are putting into this quad it should be a good one if Kawasaki wants to have the best they will.

Just fyi, "slow-zuki" produces the kx250f as far as I know. I am a quad guy not dirtbike, but I am pretty sure I am right. Every big name company except polaris earns their name and has their place. They were all top at one point in something.

I am confident that the kfx450 will be the most powerful.

I agree that this thing will undoublty kick butt, but all we can do is speculate at this point. They are the most recent one's to release a 450 so they know where it needs to be to be competitive. But as for judging this quad by the standard's of the KFX dirtbike, that's a bunch of crap. Look at how powerful the CRF 450r was then look at the quad. They always detune the quads, so stock for stock i don't think it will blow away the competition. Im just excited to think of the selection i will have when i get around to buying mine

This will be sweet every couple years most performance quads and dirtbikes make a major change usally for the better with the early release of the honda and no major changes for the yamaha dont get to excited brcause you can bet all three companys will be up grading in 2008 they have a couple race seasons on there quads and they will be faster and better handing as well in 2008 mark my words on this.I have 36 years invested in the atv/atc racing world and i can tell you now the kawi may be fast but vaan it and how many races will they win first year out.I guess we will have to wait and see...........Good luck Team Green youll need it

can u post some pics of ur houser crf hybrid? i just sold my 450r and am trying to decide between a 2007 ltr450, or maybe a kfx450 if i like them, or building a hybrid 450

took zuki 2+ years to break out the 450
now kawi gets in at 3 years or so ?
I just hope the quad is faster than the design department.
