22 inch Maxxis Razr's

..

I like them, but now I have to rail around corners, instead of sliding.
How do you all like it?

i regret the day i ever got 22 inch razors

I 20 inch Razrs on my 250 at first and I'm not real fond of Razrs. I think there to heavy and makes the 250 lose power and bog a lot.

Why?

my buddy put 22in holeshots on his 250ex and it made his clutches slip... they might of been bad anyway but after he put the heavy tires on it made them slip

how well dose those tires run on the 250
Posted by: BlasterEaten250
They are great for me so far. I have had the front razr's for a few months now, and they are great. I don't really notice any powerloss since putting the backs on. The only thing is that (in the second picture) on that turn I used to get completely sideways if I wanted to, but now I can barely slide at all.

Personally I think the razr's are a bit too much traction for the 250ex. You may want to play around with the air pressure in them to help it slide better. I have dunlops(stock 400ex tires) on my wifes 250 and they work awesome on the quad. They slide well and hook up when you need them to. Plus they are a radial which helps with cornering. Looks good though.

thats why and also because its way to much traction for it.

what if you ride in sand, will that help it out?
Posted by: 250ex13
well if u olny ride in sand then get tires for the dunes
Posted by: WILSONatv
i ride n all types of things
Posted by: BlasterEaten250
I have heard that razr's aren't that great in sand. (but I never ride in sand) You might want to try Kenda Klaws. You can reverse them so that they are a backwards "V" which is supposedly good in the sand.

i was actually going to get itps!!!
plus i dont like the look of the klaws
Posted by: 250ex13
yea itp's and razors are NOT good in the sand go with klaws

what happens?

looks nice man, now you need my velocity stack intake mod and a T-4 full exhaust!
I love my Razrs. They definitely grip alot when new, but will slide for you once you get some wear on them.
As for the people saying they have too much traction...BS, i do 3rd gear brakestands in the dirt with mine....
what measurement tires did you go with? i'm still running stock front rims/tires and need to do something about how the front end wants to push really bad, it caused me to nearly roll into a tree last weekend.

Thanks, I would use my money for suspension first though, because I am constantly bottoming out
In the back I have 22X11/9, in the front I have stock rims and 22X7/10. I love my front razr's. You can go through turns so much faster, and harder. I would definatly reccomend them.
