R is bogging at half throttle and up

Hey i have a 86 250R pretty much completely stock. Right now i am having a problem with when i hit the throttle it is bogging out and somtimes even back firing a little. it starts and idles fine. Anyone know what might cause this.

I would start by checking the intake boot on the carb for cracks, then from there i would check to see what kind of shape your reeds are in, take them out and hold them up toward the sun if u see light thru them eaither flip them or replace them. check ur air to fuel screw 1.78th turns out is perfect for stock. if you are curious to no if its running rich or lean put a new spark plug in it, start it go 1st gear thru 4th then pull ur kill switch it should be a tan color.

If you just got it, I would say start with the jetting. It sounds like it's rich. If you have had the quad a while, and this is a new problem look into the areas like jcurry622 said. The intake boot, reeds, and check seals in the exaust.
