well ladies and gents the landing is in progress tonight.. so far we've hit it only at about 6-7 feet.. i know i know pretty lame but hey, we're still working on the landing. anyway.. hit us up if you wanna swing by and check it out..

ok here's a vid.. don't laugh.. its nothing big, but hey its our first ramp.. well as you can see the landing is still in progress.. we need about 2 more loads of dirt.. but we were too anxious so we hit it anyway

no.. the landing height is ok.. its hard enough to see it before your in the air as it is.. when we are done that ramp will be 50ft back and the landing will need to be that high.. we need to widen it about 4 more feet though

LOL, I seen that you edited your post after I sent my reply... anyway... yeah, it definately needs to be higher and wider. In your vid, it is only about the width of the quad.

Yeah, at least twice as wide. If I was going to hit it at 50 feet, I would want it at least 12 feet wide, but then again im a puuss.

I'd hit it at 50 foot, no doubt. Like I say, I would want a nice lander though. I have hit 60 foot doubles on my cousins R, not on my quad, because I have stock suspension (cant afford good setup currently). Stock 400ex suspension is almost worthless. Elkas are the CHIT!!

ok so we moved the ramp back to 15'.. this is our friend emmit, who has no quad experiance at all, hitting the ramp.. *warning excessive use of the words ****, ****, etc.* anyway we couldn't believe he actually did it. and by the way i'll have some more footage of me and gabe hitting it edited later.

ok so i edited the video.. sort of.. its still boringly long but hey there's a couple times i thought gabe was gonna wipe out.. anyway don't be too critical, neither of us have ever hit a ramp until the other day. like i said earlier we moved the ramp back.. its a exactly 15' 3".. we did pull some tricks before when it was closer but didn't get any of that.

your gonna have fun on it once you get a nice landing for it and get it on back there around 35 feet,

btw not burst you bubble and **** but good luck getting that ramp to 50 feet itll be super skecty to hit it that fast ( around 3rd at 3/4 throttle) seriously my ramp is alot smoother coming on than your guys and mine is done at 50 feet 45 is best and after that it gets sketchy really fast so i think the most youll see out of your ramp is 35 but dont worry you get hell of hang time at 35 off the mid size ramps like the both of us have,

here is 35 on my ramp its 5'2" tall (dont let teh pic fool you the bottom 2 feet of my ramp is below ground level and so is my runway that way i could use all teh dirt i dug out for my landing

yeah you're probably right.. by the way i read the thread you had on your ramp and landing, i like what you did. Yeah we still need a crap load more dirt though. like we said we were just too anxious to start hitting it

trust me a good nice landing like in this pic makes a world of difference this one jsut needed about a 6 foot long safety deck and it would have been perfect, and as for my new landing in the previous picture i hate it, i have to reshape it soon as i get the tractor back for the kubota place (sum safety switch jacked up and it wouldnt even run, so they are bypassing all the man activated safety switches for us)

this is only 22 feet second gear mid throttle

yea i was super bummed when mine got sketchy past 45 but no worries ive got AGRI Metals my last 2 periods each day so first week of school ill have my ramp fixed

for 60 feet its gonna be a foot taller and 5 feet longer making it 18 1/2 feet long and only 6 feet tall with a 35 degree top angle gonna be super smooth and no more damn framing out as im going up the ramp anymore

oh and tell your buddy with the Z he is letting off the gas to early and he is gonna get hurt if he keeps letting the front in drop liek that, yfz (you) were doing it jsut right (lil rule of thumb= when back wheels touch the front tires should be a foot off the landing

our landing is too steep for you to go by that rule. and i have the z. when i don't let off the throttle until i'm in the air. Gabe's been just cruising along then giving it gas as he hits the ramp. he about wiped out several times, where mine were always smooth as can be. watch the vid closely and you'll see.. I tried it both ways and landing with the angle of the ramp is much better than landing with the front end way off the ground. I did that trying to do a heel clicker and it about sent me over the bars when i came down. plus if you watch close i swear a couple times gabe hits his face on his handle bars when he comes down. here i made it with some music and text.

Thats alot cooler video. i can't wait for the weekend and until i get a new helmet i'm goin to go of that ramp and puke sometime that thing smells horrible

Awesome...15 feet and moving on back....still think that lander needs to be bigger(wider). But its kinda hard to tell from the vid. You guys are jumpin it good though, I would prolly eat dirt a few times before I got it down. Anyone spilled yet?

not yet.. yeah you'll see in the vid i'm working on, we added another 17 ton of dirt to the landing. It's about 4-5 wider and has a better slope now. So far no wipe-outs, couple close calls but nothing serious.

That kid on the 400ex needs to shift! What are u guys talking about no dirt.. uve got an open field n the right equipment.

I scraped the ground about 6" deep, 30 square feet. Doing that for an hour and a half got me more dirt than u have on that landing.

Yeah it does kinda make a mess haha

I did it in the woods. Just pushed the first scoop back into the woods so i didnt have a pile of trees. But after 6" im into roots.
