Plastic Poll!

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Thought I'd give this a try since I'll be in the market for some new plastic soon! Thanks!

  1. OEM
  2. Maier
  3. Fullbore
  4. Laker

Posted by: pimpt250r

it comes down to the $$$$$$
there all good but you have way to many variables to base the poll on

maier being the cheapest replacement
laker and fullbore have custom colors
but there prices are way higher than maier

it all comes down to affordability

Posted by: smoxy

Yah, I don't care about colour as I just want the '88 red! I'm looking for stuff that is strong and durable!

Posted by: zedicus00

OEM, then fullbore then laker and dead last about 3 miles back is maier.

Posted by: PYF

'88 red all the way

Lost some brand new on ebay by 5$ grrr

My dream quad is really the 250r (which I have now)

But My dream R is really the OEM 88 one

Posted by: smoxy

Looks like it's going to be fullbore by a nose ahead of OEM! This poll will close in another week so get your vote in and keep the feedback comin'! Thanks!

Posted by: zedicus00

i cant believe maier is out voting lakers, you guys who voted maier should be ashamed.

Fullbore got my vote, looks the best(IMO), super durable ,and does away with the excess factory mounts. I've rolled my quad a few times now with the fullbores on.. didn't even phase 'em. OEM would be my second choice

Posted by: beerock

oems are da best!

full bores are second

Posted by: robyone

Ya, your OEM's look pretty good in that pic...but doc's fullbores look better flyin though the air .

Can't wait 'till I get those plastics

Question like that while we're on the topic...Are the 86-87 fenders the same as the 88-89 (Excepting for decals and hoods)

If yes..then I could use some 86-87 fenders with a headlight hood from a 88-89...

i take it you know we dont screw around,

Posted by: robyone

Yes, you can use the 88,89 hood on the older plastic.
Beerock, that is a badass pic, I used to drool over his walsh R on R riders...and that laeger flip top is no slouch either

Posted by: smoxy

I think I'm leanin' towards the Fullbores! I like the look as long as they're durable!

yea they look great the hood is awesome but they crack pretty easy

Posted by: smoxy

Good to know! Is OEM more durable?

Posted by: robyone

I would have to disagree, I consider fullbores very durable. Not saying that they don't exist, but I've never seen cracked fullbores. But I own and have seen many sets of stitched OEMs.
