aight my friend just got a raptor 700 and got the yamaha pipe and filter. i heard from somebody that if he runs that pipe and filter without gettin the powerchip that the motor will run too hot cause it will run lean. is this true..will he burn his motor up if he runs that pipe without the chip? if so, which chip should he get. i need to know fast i told him i would let him know in the morning if it will be aight our not

TFI / EFI module, basically jetting for EFI systems.

Dobeck is cheaper, PowerCommander is better.

does he need that to go ridin this weekend or shoud he take the pipe off untill he gets it?

The filter is much more likely to be a problem than the exhaust because the filter allows more air in and leans out the mixture. It's the same as adding modifications with a carbed bike and not rejetting.
