Hey guys and girls. Does this look like it should mount like this? It looks like it is mounted down pretty far. This is a 450R/400EX bumper also, and it is going on my 300EX. Notice that it is also not fully mounted, only on there b/c it doesnt look right. It just looks like it kind of angles down, but i donno, show me some pics. if you have them please. Also, all of you guys out there with 450/400 bumpers on your 300, what all new mounting hardware do i need to make this work. Thanks,
Kyle.

Looks like it's too small for the quad IMO. I liked your other bumper better.

im pretty sure its supposed to look like that...not positive though

looks fine to me....the purpose of a bumper is:
1. to protect your precious front end,
2. look good, and
3. battering ram for slow riders.....
2 & 3 are reversible depending on what you like.....

That's probably just the way that bumper is.

it doesnt stick out in front of my tires like my previous one did? this isnt gonna hurt much is it? I dont get to bumpy out there, and its usually side swipes if anything.

If your worried about it just put your old bumper back on.

The bumper looks fine to me. Actually I kinda like it. It is angled down a little but not too much. It might make the quad want to push up over anything you hit instead of just stopping you though.

I forgot to add that all you will need to mount it is some washers or a spacer of some kind to fill in the gaps on the upper mounts. You may need longer bolts but I doubt it. I have a AC mudscreen 400ex bumper on mine and I just bent the ends in with a few taps of the hammer and used the bolts to draw it tight to the frame. No spacers at all.

i used spacers on mine and then it bent it tight to the frame when i tightened it, it looks fine now. All we have to do is find a way to mount the bottom tabs b/c the previous bolt in there got stripped out, but we have something in mind. thanks for your help guys.

think the red bull cans make it look freaking TITTIES

i used 1/2 inch spacers on top an 2 washers on bottom to mount my dg national bumper

I think it looks good Kyle. I will even let you break it in on me when your behind me at the next booneville race lol...j/p. You should think about getting some blue plastics for that thing...it would look sweet.
Posted by: kyleschonert
we were plannin on getting orange plastic with a black frame, and nerfs, bumper, etc. But it was either new plastic, or the 330 kit. and you all know which i chose. Then my dad and me were talking on our way to the race the other day and were just gonna leave it how it is unless we break something, b/c were gonna get a 450 in a year or so. So their is no sense in putting anymore in this. The front suspension wont be on par with alot of the people that i'll be running with, but when i get a 450, i wont care, b/c i'll have a nice longtravel front end. Then my dad plans on racing my 330 once i get a 450 in the 40+ class at these races, or open begginer. I'll prob. still run it in 200/300 and all that jazz. But yea, new plastics would be nice, but o'well, a new 450 would to. lol

Yeah what 450 are you going to get? A new one? Or going to buy a race ready one? You going to be at Warrick on the 10th?
Posted by: kyleschonert
i should be there on the 10th, unless something else is planned. And when we went to joe's, he sells his quads to his students, (some of them), and they come with everything on it, but the shocks are setup for you. And there is only 3 races on each. They would be put through alot, but what could be the worst thing? bent frame? So it would be worth it, if we dont get that one, then i see Cody Gayer (sp) has a bunch of quads for sale. It all depends on the price and what mods it has. I know i cant wait.

I put on that exact same bumber and thats the first thing i noticed was how low it was...but, after a year i can't complain!! I like it a lot.

once i tightned it down, it looked ALOT better. And it looks great compared to that freakin DG. I'll try and get some pics. up later. I do like this bumper alot though.
