Acerbis MX Light Handgaurd Problem

I just bought a set of Acerbis MX Light handgaurds with the ATV mounting brackets. The problem is the right side (brake side) handguard's tabs that mount to the bracket, are different then the left, they are about an inch farther over. Is this normal for these handguards? Thank you.
