Got a small hole blown through my transmission casing on my raptor 660. Anyone know what the problem could be? Is this a common problem?

If you have an 01 raptor then yes this is a very common problem. The 01 Raptors transmission suck. Which is why 02 and up have changed there style in transmission. I had the same problem with my 01. The 2nd gear just died on me I would give it gas and it didnt do anything, it felt like it was no longer there. Turns it it had fallen off completely.

i didnt think the gears going out on the 01's was causing a hole to appear in the tranny casing.

You are correct, but a buddy of mine had this same problem. And it was because of the 01 tranny. Me I got lucky,it didnt go threw the tranny casing
