How many disks are yall running on yalls e-series. Im running 5 right now but im thinking about going less to get a lil quieter. i heard on here somewhere that somebody ran 2 on theirs. im wondering tho, wont that probably add more backpressure than the stock muffler even?

if i remember correctly, 4 discs is essentially the same as a stock exhaust...

i got an e-series for my 300ex and i run 4 discs. i can definatly feel the extra power, but i wouldn't do less discs than that.

im running 10 discs with the s/a its been running good with that setup.

Wait a minute.... Your running it wide open then and you don't even need your plates in there.... I run mine wide open with no plates and it sounds great... I'm prob. going to put in 12 though.

I run 12 discs in mine. White Brothers reccomends to get the most out of the e series for the 400ex is 12 discs.

I guess ill try going down to 4. Ill try repacking it too cuz i doubt its ever been done, maybe thatll help tone it down a lil.

They say that 4 discs is about equal to the sound of the stock pipe...

I have a R4 White Bros slip on now....
I like it better than my E I used to have

im running 11 dics and its loud enough

how do u like that R4 r u running? is it with stock head pipe or what cuase im lookin for exhaust right now all my bodys have HMFs but i wanted to be different.

I like the R4 better than the e series too. When i bought my quad it had an R4 slip on on it and it sounded good and i tried to find the R4 full system but they are almost impossible to find so I ended up buying a full system e-series.

i love the r4 it adds so much low end "snap" its kinda loud but hey u can still sneek with it. i love the r4!

whats the best wayto run the R4. with stock header or a after market one?
Posted by: zrpilot
I'm running 12 with the quiet core. I really like it, its not too loud unless you thrash the throttle, then it sounds pretty good.
Posted by: Halter
yeah the R4s are kick butt....
there pretty loud...u can sneak with it just like in 2nd or 3rd just barly on the throttle...but when u get into her ppl know your around...lol..and yes it gives soo much more torque than E series..

Yes, without the spark arrestor in... It did on mine, and I have to rebuild mine.

I've run my ex for over 3 years now with no rings or SA and I have yet to rebuild mine. I have had a ross 10:8:1 piston in ther for almost all that time too.
All I can say is keep an eye on your temp. If you ex is ticking alot let it cool down some and you wont burn through you rings. If you ride non stop for hours and hours then you may want to keep the sa in there.

I'm rebuilding mine now, and I'm guessing thats the reason, cause I see no other... But ya, I guess its all in how you ride it.
