I am thinking about buying new plastic for my quad. I got a 04' 400EX, it is currently red and I want to buy black plastic. I am thinking about buying the one peice front fender in black. I dont have enough money to buy the rear peice yet, but I want to know what that would look like with black front fenders and side pannels and then a red rear fenders? Has anyone ever seen this or am i just crazy?

If someone has there quad in two colors, post some pics.

It isn't a 400 but the pic will give you an idea what it will look like

just fyi, black plastic doesent hold up good to scratches. After about 2 days of riding they get all scratched up and look like crap. you just have to buy mop and glow or somthing and keep aplying it to the plastic to keep it looking new.

I would say black front, red rear would look good, Just as long as you have a black seat cover, imo.

I'll second that. My black fronts didn't last long at all. After the first year of riding the mop n glo wouldn't even help. It would just have shiney scratches. I ended up putting red front plastic on it because the rears will still in great shape after 3 years.

Hey man, thanks for the effort in the photoshop. I appriciate it. I think that I have made up my mind to stick with red. I talked to a couple guys that bought the black 450's and they said that they went trail riding and scratched their plastic all to hell. They strongly suggested that i stick with red. By the way, what other colors look good on a 400EX? Just lookin at all my options. If any of you have other than stock plactic colors... post a pic.
