Well since I"ve become the ride coordinator I"ve reserved another full hook-up campsite at Cheif logan campground..so we now have 2 full hookups,,with water and electic and an overflow grass field.

Prices are as follows..

Full hook up--- 19.00 a night,,,reserved for 3 nights $60 total.
60 X 2 = $120 for the 2 sites for the weekend..we had 10 people on one full hookup site last time so your lookin at around $6 per person to camp out the entire weekend on the full hook-up sites. MIght be more might be less,,if ya cry about it ya get booted to the primitive sight..

and must give a beer to all other members on that full hook-up site..

Over flow/primitive camping sites are $5 a tent per day..

7 day pass which you'll need. $35...no 3 day passes available.

So your lookin at about $50 for camping and riding fees per person (not to bad I don't think)...the rest of trip costs your on your own..Who camps were is on a first come first serve basis except for me I get a spot on a full hook-up site..perks of bein the ride coordinator...:blah

Oh yeah,,my ride coordinator fee has not been added to the above total...

I'll leave a coffee can outside my tent for donations...Beer & money are considered equal in payment..

So I dont' know about you guys/gals but this is gonna be a very very fun trip,,even without the riding,,just the camping and chewin the fat around the campfire is a good time in my book..

Another thing,,I will be starting yet another thread about 2 weeks out from the trip asking for another head count..when I do..only post digits/numbers so i dont' have to read thru a bunch of crap tryin to count up how many riders we will have.

One more thing,,if ya got room for firewood bring it,,even if it's only a log or 2 every little bit helps...Ok that's all from me,,,lookin forward ta meeting you knuckleheads that's for sure..:blah

devil One full hook up site will be reserved for all the guys that made the first trip..

The directions are as follows: From Charleston, WV drive towards Logan, WV on Hwy 119 approx. 8-10 miles before you get to Logan you will see "brown"(the color) state park signs that say " Chief Logan State Park" turn left on Hwy 10 and follow the signs. You will see the Large "Chief Logan State Park" sign where you turn right into the park, @ 1-2 miles the road will fork, stay left and you will see the camping areas after you pass the horse stables.

Hope you can understand that?

Rico, that can may get really full really quick! You better punch a hole in the bottom so it can drain..

Can we get on the trails right from the campsite, or do we have to load up and drive aways. How far is the drive to the trails? Also, can we drive into town with our quads from the campsite?

Kind of need to know, because we plan on arriving Wednesday night, and I never had the chance to bring a chick home on my quad:blah

Nope, can't ride in Logan.. Will have to haul to the different trail heads. 1 is about 3 or 4 miles away and another is about 14 miles...

I believe you can camp at rockhouse and ride from the campsite to the trails,,you might wanna look into that at www.trailsheaven.com the downfall to that is you won't be were the rest of the group is at..

But that might not be a bad thing after all..

i doubt it....when i build an engine i go all out. plans are to tear down the entire engine...send the head to lrd for port work and then new everything. im also going thru the bottom end just for *****s and giggles. i think i can keep up with ya tho

I get my license here in a month guys so I may make it out next spring or somin and hopefully I would have a bigger quad by then. It all really depends though b/c its gonna be bout 11-12 hour drive and Im sure my @$$ would get lost. Im gonna try to see bout makin it out to livingston this fall to ride with Froggieboi again, but that alone will take me bout 5 hours. Plus my driving sux.

Just have to see.

Actually the camp ground we stayed at had a big pimp daddy pool to swim in. I'm wondering if they'll let 40 dirty, muddy, stinky quad riders jump in after a long day of riding..

It'll go from a pool to a pond in about 10 seconds..:devil

What is everyone doing for grub? Grilling out or hitting the local establishments? How does everyone like homemade cheesecake? I am bringing 4 down with me. 1 is a traditional , 1 is a pumpkin, 1 is a brownie bottom and the other is a 3 chip cheesecake. My wife has a cheesecake business, so she is making some for the trip.

we will be staying at devil anse. from what I hear..........you guys camping at chief logan will have to drive right past our campground to get to the trialhead.

we will be able to ride right to the trails.

we will have a 4x4 with us to ride with your dad too rico.

Rico, We should get there around 2 Maybe a little earlier.. I gotta find that place first. Is it in I am pretty familiar with the area.. But I have never been to the campground.

Zoomer, when you come down 119 from Charleston keep a lookout for Hwy 10 and the big brown signs that say Chief Logan State Park. Follow 10 to the entrance to the park and then follow the road in the park all the way to the back of the park and you will see the campground. There should be a sign on the post that tells where our campsite is.
