blaster will not start

just bought a 2004 blaster and was told it quit running and no one knew why. I have cleaned the carb and put a new plug in, checked the reeds and it will not start. I verified that it is getting spark, but the compression seems a little funny. What else can I do to try and get it started? Should I try pulling it off behind another atv or what?

pull of the head, probley a hole in the piston, or the rings are fryed

yeah, probably needs a new piston. if its low on compression, and has the stock piston, chances are the intake side piston skirt broke off in the case.

Yeah I just rebuilt a blaster and it had the very same problem along with a big gaping hole in the bottom of the case.
