i've got a 400ex with a yz400f motor and i finally cranked it up last night and i have way to much oil pressure, because it flared out the entire tank, even started leaking out the cap threads, then when installed a breather tube and its blowing out of there.

I'm not sure about the YZ400F engine, but the YFZ450 only accepts 1.98 quarts of oil. Is it possible you overfilled it?

The YFZ's book says to check the oil dips stick 10 seconds after warming up the engine then shutting it off. Are you puling the oil cap before 10 seconds pass?
