On my ltz400 my starter just stopped working, all it does not is click from the relay by the battery. I switched out the relay from mine and put it on a z400 that starts and mine start the other one, so i know its not the relay. then i used a volt meter and check the voltage all the way to the starter and it reads 12v all the way down, so im guessing the starter is bad. Did anybody have this prob with there bikes, and if there is a rebuild kit for the starter, iv looked and cant find one????

how about you switch batteries with the z that started and see if that works. I know when my battery is dead all it does is click at the relay.
