i've been trying to bleed the brakes on my r but it doesnt seem to be building any pressure. Any suggestions?

Just pump the brake lever for a couple minutes. Then hold the brake lever in, and have someone else crack the bleeder vavle for a couple seconds, then close the bleeder valve. Pump the lever a couple more times, crack the bleeder again, close it. Then repeat that several times untill there is no air left in the line. The repeat on the other side. Make shure to check the level of brake fluid in the ressivoir and add more brake fluid.

im having the same problem with my fronts, i was pumping them for about 5-10 mins straight and only got a few bubbles. stupid dual line kits take forever. i suggest you tell one of your friends you need help and have him pump while you sit around and wait for him to open the valve.

I had the same trouble. I ended up fitting about 2 feet of clear hose over the bleeder and sucking the fluid out. You will not believe how many air bubbles are in those tiny brakes. Be careful though, DOT 4 tastes terrible.

i use a clear hose and a syringe works great . you fill the syringe with fluid get all the air out . and you back bleed pushing the air up into the mastercylinder

mrhyde BINGO. Take some clear hose connect it to the bleeder valve and put your mouth over it and start sucking. suck until no more bubbles come out of the hose. LOL and yes brake fluid does taste bad, but i guarntee you it works i just did this last night.

You guys need to get a vacum pump brake bleeder. There like $30 at a auto parts store. Works so well you will wonder why you didn't get one sooner.

i have a mity vac but a syringe works great and you can put it your bike box
