Electric Start makes clicking noise

I have a 1998 300ex and recently i went to start it up and when i hit the start button and it turned over a couple of times and then just made a clicking noise. I tried to push start it but it wont even do that? Ive checked all of the conbections and fuses but im just not sure what to do. I was supposed to go out riding this weekend so if anyone can help me with this i would really appreciate it. Thanks

flat battery causing the starter relay to click witch in turn will make the starter click and the cdi will need enough power to work thats why it will not start with a push

sounds like a bad ground. Everytime I read about the buzzing or clicking noise everyone posts all this BS that needs to be done or replaced. YOu have a bad ground at the battery or the frame... DONE
