pro pegs vibrating

i run a set of ac pro peg nerfs on my 450r and since day one they have been vibrating and making a racket that pisses me off. i drilled the hole through the peg and mount and put the bolts through and they still did it. i then took off the nerfs and wrapped the black mounts in a few layers of electric tape in hopes that the tighter fit would cut down on the noise. the tape worked for a few days but it began to come back again. is there anything else i can do to stop the noise because every time i get past 1/2-3/4 throttle in any gear it buzzes like a bumblebee. if i could do it all over again, i would have just kept the stock pegs and got the regular ac's.

This is a common I hear from Many AC nerf users...
I know ours had a rattle but somehow my Ole man modified it to where it doesnt do it anymore on the UM's.

I had trouble with mine on my 400ex I wrapped the pegs in duck tape and haven't had any trouble since.

The common fix that I've seen is to drill the hole into the peg mount and put a bolt in. Just another place to secure them too.

He said that he did that already.
It's wierd that it buzzes even with bolts....I don't have bolts on my AC's, and they don't vibrate at all.
If there is space to do it, maybe take some thin walled hose of some kind, cut it in half lengthwise, and try to put that between the peg and the mount....might be to tight for that though.

may be try a peice of rubber.like a radiater hose that is cut in half.something that is not to thick.just to take the vib. out.....

mabie put silicone all around the shaft then slip the peg on. It may be messy. Probly wont last to long tho.

That's actually not too bad of an idea. A piece of thin rubber hose wrapped around the peg mounting tube would be ideal though. Anything to prevent the metal to metal contact should help. I had the same vibration problem only with my AC skid plate after years of bashing. Some strategically-placed pieces of rubber hose did the trick for me
