Ok got her installed. Installation took about an hour because I had never taken off the plastics. Plastics came off easily enough but they are a ***** to get ligned back up.

Anyway the PIM is top notch as far as manufacturing goes. Really quality workmanship in all the connectors and wires. Instructions are excellent also. The only negative thing I have to say about it is the method they use to attach the PIM to the PIM mounting bracket. It's actually a velcro attachment. They could have definately come up with a better mounting system.

As far as performance goes the first thing I did was polish the header and rub it down with alcohol. I took it for a few spins down a nearby dirt road. My SOTPD (Seat of the Pants Dyno) tells me that there is DEFINATELY a BIGGER hit throughout the RPM range. Could it be wishful thinking? I'm not sure but right now I'm convinced it's there. Also no hint of the header turning purple so far. If it doesn't rain tomorrow I'm going riding and I'll see if it turns purple.

i just bought my PIM today. i can't wait to hook it up and see what it does. i also bought the new Pro Design Pro Flow Kit which makes the intake nearly twice as large as the stock hole. there looks to have been some serious tuning if you look at the spec sheet for those two maps. they're in increments of only 500rpm. then i assume you can change those numbers with the FIMAK. that would really scare me messing with that thing though.

No thunder stolen here brother. It's all about getting the correct info out. Anyway here was my response:

That is correct. The PIM takes the place of the CRBM. One connector of the PIM plugs into the connector the CRBM plugs to.

I asked Yoshi as to why they have it in a package deal and their reply was that the guy that does the marketing/graphics work is on vacation and it's on his list of things to correct when he gets back.

O.k. this might sound really dumb, but here goes anyway.

What in the hell are the mapping sheets trying to tell us? I get the engine speed and the throttle position, but the numbers in the baoxes what do they stand for. And It seems to me that negative numbers would not be good. I've got to learn this.

Love my LTR, just really don't want it to run lean and burn a piston.
