Hello,
My bearing went out of my axle carrier on the sprocket side and the cast alluminum housing that slides into the swingarm is busted up good.... any ideas where I can get a new cast housing for a 1988 stock 250R?
Thanks
Bubba

You mean berring carrier. Your best bet is to just get an aftermarket one. Lonestar, and RAD make some great stuff.

Burgard also makes a really nice carrier. I busted my oem carrier in my 300ex last year and went with a burgard and I am 100% satisfied with it's fit and finish. It is also only 150$ vs 220$ for the lonestar and they are made of the same 6061-t6 aluminum.

Does Burgard have a site? Also what is a stock honda one worth?
Also anyone have any bearing numbers so that I can just goto a bearing shop and buy them there (I find its cheaper to do this) than to buy honda bearings.
On a sidenote this thing screams now that I put a 89 cr 250 head gasket in it. I'm showing a 175lbs of compression and its rippin my buddies ltz450r a new one
Thanks
Bubba

I have a stock one, and brand new bearings not even installed yet...pm me if you want it

Yes they have a website, http://www.burgardcycle.com
If the stock carrier is trashed, putting bearing in it may not last for very long, as I trashed a couple set of bearing doing that with my 300ex and I eventually managed to damage the axle. With a 250r with way more power than a 300ex, an aftermarket carrier with twin row bearings is an investment for peace of mind.
A stock carrier is 200$ from service honda anyway, so the burgard one is cheaper.

I think I'm going to order the Burgard one, looks like a good unit for the price... They come with bearings rite?
