Ok...Wont Idle!!

ok...well my buddy and I installed a white bros slip on...and a 160 size jet on my 01 400.....well it ran like a raped ape....and everything...ran about half a tank out and I went to the gas station and filled her up...well...it ran and I got bout 3/4s in my tank and I did a wheeler..and when i came down and went about 50 yards and stopped (crossing road check for cars) it started to back fire real bad...well it wont idle...its like back firing and stuff...its still all there...top end..I Mean if I have her balls to the wall she still runs like a raped ape...but it wont idle..its back fires and acts like its just starvin for gas when at low rpms....Any suggestions?

have you checked to see if you got some bad gas? maybe some trash in you pilot jet, need some ideas on what you have checked out

i had a problem something like that, and ended up getting it re-jetted, and fixed all my problems..

try checking for air leaks around the carb and intake

no Air leaks...I rode it more last night it sounds like its starting to clear up..I think its bad gas.....I am going to run this tank out and then see how it acts after some dry gas and some new gas.....its starting to run better...I think just got a big gulp of bad gas!!
