400ex +3 a-arms on a CDale

I have a set of Lonestar A-arms that are +3 and I was wondering if anybody nows if they will fit on a Cannondale Speed. Also they would be matched up with Axis shocks 16". Will this swap work? Any info on this swap would be much appreciated.

Don't know about the Arms, but the shocks have to be 19" long..

How can it work?? I can't use my stock 16" shocks on the Moto +3 Arms. Is Lonestar different??

How do you know that they will work? Have you done this yourself or know someone personally? If you could elaborate a little any info would help.Thanks a lot.

I think they will work, I know i've seen people put 400ex shocks on them and i've seen just about every brand of a-arms on cannondales and which they don't make cannondale a-arms that I know of. I'm almsot positive if the 400ex a-arms will work on it.

The mount point for the arms is more narrow on the 400EX... You'll have to devise some sort of spacers to take up the slack.

Other than that, the only problem I believe you'll run into is ball joint taper. The Cannondale uses a more steep taper. I believe someone out there makes sleeves.

As far as 19" shocks vs 16" - it depends on what the arms were designed to use. If they were designed for 16" shocks, used 16" shocks. They won't take the 19"s just because they are going on a Cannondale.

Couldn`t you just buy some Houser arms for the CDale?

They do make arms for the cannondales. I see ads all the time. I know you cant use 19" shocks on arms designed for 16". The only problem that I have seen is possibly the Spindles from the EX may have to be used instead of stock. Also as the shocks go through there travel the tie rods pivot up and they will hit on the top frame rail. So I think that the ear on the steering stem has to be bent down or modified somehow.
