i recently rebulit my 04 with a stage 1 hot cam and a wisco 13:1 piston and crf carb and run half 93 oct and c12
its running very hot ... the coolent is spraying out the over flow and will not hold in the radiator.... i ran it with the cap open too blow any air out of the system... i am useing engine ice and its burning it up giveing it an oily smell... i haven really noticed oil in the engine ice but my oil is burning up... and i havnt noticed water in the oil..... i tried a differnt raditor cap and it was not the problem... i have a new head gasket on the way if nessicary.. i was wondering if it might be a seal bad in the water pump... any imput would be appericeated....

Is your water pump even working?

Posted by: jkirk141

ya its seems to be circulating
what the best way to check

Without taking it apart and seeing it I dont know. I had a banshee before my 450r and the gear that turned the water impeller broke and it did the same thing your bike is doing.

i dont think its that gear cause u can turn it and it cranks the motor over

Is your fan working? if it dont come on it might be the Coolent tempeture sensor. i broke mine and it was overheating, and the fan did not come on.
