Does any one have a Edelbrock card on there Z? Having problems getting mine to start. I have gotten a lot of advise from the people at Edelbrock but still to luck. Thinking that there could be something machanicly wrong with carb or quad. Any ideals?

Well with that amount of information it could be several things. Did you do any checking for spark, gas, etc... Tried starting it on prime?

It has spark and is getting gas. What do you mean by starting it on prime. If you mean with it choked Edelbrock carbs don't have chokes.

Found out the problem. My valves needed adjusted. Right after I got it running a valve head broke off and distroded my top end. Anyone have an ideal what could of happened? It had been a year since I had my motor built at LRD and never checked my valve clearences. Then this spring it was having a hard time starting. Thought it was the carb because it started just as I switched carbs. Is it possible that I went to long with out checking the valves and bent a valve stem?
