ok heres the deal
i have a 300ex stock bore that i have jsut installed a brand new 11:1 weseco piston in. I didnt how ever hone the cylinder i didnt Know what it was to be honest and i thought it was mroe for over bores i read today that in order for the piston to seal corectly you must hone the cylinder
the quad is an 2003 with a substancial amount of hours
should i tear it down hone it and put it all back together or will i be ok
the engine is entirly put back together as it sits right now

how'd the cylinder look ?
i'd recommend honing it due to the amount of riding time on the bore, but it's your money.

the cylinder was perfect i was surprised how good the conditon was not a sing scoring or grove any where
to hone it i simply take a wire brush and carefully go over the entir cylinder then take some super fine grit sand paper and finish it that was my under standing of the weseco instructions is that correct

i dont know about the honing instructions.
If the cylinder really looks good, you're probably fine. Just take it easy and dont beat the chit out of it on the break-in

haha thats what i was wondering maybe i chould get away with it as long as i gave it twice the break in time and took it easy but im not sure
if those instructions are corect i will prolly tear down
