I have a 440 custom built using a Ross 11:1 piston. I am currently using the stock ex carb. how much of a benefit is there to going to a 450r carb, and what about the yz426f carbs? (FCR right?)

I have heard talk of there a lot in the past and wanted to get some current opinions on them, and which one would be more suited for my application.

I ride dunes, and I want more hit on the topend.

if this doesn't work then maybe a xr650 motor will do the trick right mikesuphin?

thanks guys

well you defintetly do not want a 426 carb, they had problems with those bogging and coughing and such.

I had a 426... and the more you mention it that is how it behaved. so just a 450r carb is what is desired out there?
