what is the stock compression for a 300ex sum kid swears up and down its 11:1 but i dont think it is

its like 9:8:1 or something wierd like that, not 11:1,

Nah.. it's even lower than that. It has a very very low compression.

The 300ex has 8.9:1 static compression off of the showroom floor.

11:1 is a typical high compression 300ex that can still run on premium pump. Any higher and you usually need a race fuel mix.

Oh heck yea it does.

Pipe, filter, rejet, 11:1 piston (any bore), and a Stage 2 style cam, and you are going to see a great increase, w/o spending too much money.
