what would be a good step up from stock? even if im just movin up to like a different quads stock suspension thats ok

no works or elkas for me...lil too much

I would try to find used works. Supposedly a front banshee shock works if you flip it upsidedown on the back, but that is just to risky for me. Front shocks aren't meant to handle the load of a back shock and it would probably break. So just look around for some used works shocks.
