Raced my first Harescramble.

I raced my first Harescramble the other day.It was an 8-mile track with 4-laps.I started in the last row with a blaster,wolverine,warrior,and a mojave.I got the holeshot very easily.My row had to start 15 seconds later than the second.I still caught up with them though,and passed 4 400EX's believe it or not.I never did catch the first row because they got a 30second head-start.I didn't really understand the start procedures,but that kind of stuff happens.I got 4th in my class.If we would had started at the same time I would had done alot better,I was passing fourwheelers left and right.

Do all Harescrambles start like this?

Congrats on 4th! Yeah, most harescrambles start with the fastest classe leaving first, the next fastest class leaves a minute behind and so on with the slowest class leaving last. This is done for safety reasons.
The officials know how much later your class left than the first class, then adjust the time for your class. That makes it fair for everyone. At the big races, the guys in the back leave about five to ten minutes behind the first class, so the time has to be adjusted. Good luck in your next race. Our local racing season will start August 1st and run about 7 months. It covers the state of Florida. Its too hot to race in the summer here.

Congrats, I love harescrambles. Yes harescrambles start this way.
everyone in your class will start in the same row. If some of the classes are small they will combine them with other classes.

I was cheated then.I had about 3or4 fourwheelers in my class that started before me.I shouldn't whine though.I done good to pass 3/4 of that row and get 4th.HEY! atleast I got a trophy!

yo like gncc025 said if he would have started in the same row as me i would have got 3rd and he would have got 2nd maybe 1st.
i started in the row in front of him and a guy on a canibal w/HMF pipe got the holeshot and was gone the rest of the way. there was 3seconds inbetween me and 3rd and 10sec between me and gncc025 so that tells u how fast he was goin. the guys we were racin against werent that agressive anyways. alot of em didnt even finish the race. and the race track was 5.8 miles not 8 miles

we still did good for our first race. and even tho i finished in front of gncc025 doesnt mean i am a better rider then him i just got a little luckier

he was ppushin that stock 300ex to the limits prolly. heres a pic of us after the race. gncc025 is the dirty one hehe:blah this pic doesnt give any justice to how dirty he really was

It was in slayden,TN.It is located about 40 miles south of the big city Memphis.Its close to the MS state line.It was round 4 of the memphis motorcycle club harescrambles.It was a very good course.It had a little bit of everything.Post a reply back about where all the other harescrambles are going to be if you want too,so you can find one a little closer to you.
