Ideas 4 bigger footpegs?

My idea is to buy stock footpegs from ebay for like 10.00 and cut off the mounting hardware on one pari of them and weld them and the ones already installed together... do you get it? It makes a wider footprint.. even wider that the IMS footpegs

i just seen that in a magazine, its a good idea if you got 2 pairs of pegs....while you at it weld a little tab on the outside of them like IMS, those would rock, im gonna do it if i get 2 more foot pegs.

Yep, good plan.

They just had a small article in QUAD magazine about the exact same thing. Two stock footpegs, one with mounts cut off. Weld them together and you got yourself some killer footpegs and you save ALOT of cash.

I have a friend who welded two sets of stock pegs together and it worked well, but they are not wider than the IMS pegs.

my dads raptor has the ims and they are 2-11/16 in. the stock400ex footpeg is 1-1/4 in. x 2 = 2-1/2 in.

ims footpegs w/ kickup from an overpriced resaler $235.00
same footpegs just welded together and minus 3/16 in. 15.00
saving a load on aftermarket footpegs priceless

I have a set of 450r pegs. believe I got them off this site as take off's for 20$ or sumthin. then I welded turn ups on.

get 3 sets of stock pegs (30 bucks) and using yours as the 4th set build a set of pegs like these, double wide, double length pegs with the outter set angled up to help you hang on better and plant that foot in the turns i call them "creech" style pegs because they mimic the blingstar creech nerfs' pegs

i have these two of stock pegs you can have for $20 and pick up another set for 10 and your set

My buddy made this set up about 2 years ago. They were for a Z400, but I made new mounting holes for them to fit my 400EX.

now that I remember, the 450r pegs are a bit wider fowards to. so its a tad harder to get your foot under the shifter because it is closer. I fixed this with a slege hammer of couse. dont worry on the foot peg not the shifter
