300exdoesnt start. you push the start button and the neutral light dims a little. when you jump the solienoid with a screw driver it starts right up. just wanted to check . would it just be the solenoid? I 'm assuming ye.s just didnt want to waste the money if yo guys think its somethin else thanks

im not good with electrical stuff, but it could be your battery. Start it up and just ride it around easy and try to get the battery charged up.

when yours went out did it just do nothing when you hit the start button. somebody else is telling me if it was bad I would hear it clicking? it does nothing. unless I jump a screwdriver across it. not questioning anybody just curious how yours acted when it went out. thanks

mine did absolutely nothing but everything is different.

I believe the key/push button circuit is fused at the solenoid. check if you have 12v at the push button or at the small wires (yellow/red I belive) at the solenoid. You have to hold the button in to check.

Dont spend the 65 bucks...you can get one at O'riely's, Autozone, or walmart for a lawn mower for about 15. Thats what i did, and had it tucked away under the seat where you couldn't see it. My 300 ran for almost 2 years with that thing.....then i parted it out.
Good Luck
