The right side caliper was hanging up when I picked up my 86, and now it needs new caliper pistons/seals (pistons were very brittle).

1) What are my options for caliper pistons? The ones I 'removed' were a plastic like composite(sp). Does someone make an aluminum piston?

2) Would excess heat cause the old pistons to get brittle or do they just get that way over time?

3) I've been searching and found one post suggesting I don't need to put those nickel sized spacers back in the caliper pistons, although they mention them being aluminum. Is this a good idea or does it put too much stress on the outer edge of the pistons?

4) If somebody has a website or tech article they can point me towards, that would be appreciated.
